I'd put it on a timer (or just flip it on in the morning, turn off at night), running it 24/7 can be hazardous, but It's probably ok to leave it on, just had a bad experience once myself.

as a matter of fact, I just made a wiring change in my setup a few minutes ago for that ... concerned about humidity in my large flower-booth, I plugged both the exhaust fan, and the oscillating fan, into the timer for my clone/veg-box next to it ... now my fans are on an 18 hour cycle, while the flower-booth lights are on their 12 hour cycle ... so, my fans stay on 4 hours after lights go off, and come on 2 hours before the lights come on ... Im hoping this will help pull out excess heat and humidity, after the lights go out ... :smokin:

I leave my fans running 27/7 i read some where that if your enviroment is 10 degrees cooler durring the dark period the plants will grow better i dont know if it works or if it is true but i use the fans to bring down night time temps
good luck

i leave mine on all the time also....i have to the lights are on at night and the temps are wonderful. But in the day time when the light is off the temp range anywhere from 76-100. i have a 265cfm dayton for exhaust and a 6" inductor fan but they are just giving me good airflow. because i am only dragging in more hot air from the attic on intake. But i am going to try to connect the inatke hose to T-elbow on the bathroom exhaust so it will bring in fresh air from outside and cool air from the bathroom

plants like it so warm, and fresh air
I have a system that vents at 95
and a timmer that runs at lights out for 1 hr. Then to drop the temp with cool morning air it comes on at 3 am for 1 hr. note 3am as this is when most cops are in the station. Running relayrunner on a computer system with a printer port relay card.

at the very least, you should have your air intakes at floor level, where the cooler air is, and exhaust at top, exhaust into the attic if thats not a problem, its hot there anyway ... :smokin:
