We concluded that in general, stealing was wrong, yet for some reason, downloading music seems to be in its own category. What is the distinction between downloading music and actually physically picking up an object from a store and nabbing it? Most people reply with the argument that music has just become too expensive these days. CDs cost next to nothing to reproduce once they are made (this is true), so that the record companies Rating: 5

I've downloaded around 50 albums with BitTorrent in the past month and a half or so, and I really do feel guilty sometimes. I only feel guilty on Tuesdays, though.

nah i say keep downloading because they're making enough money to live alot better than most people in the world. there's alot of people out there starving , making 20 cents an hour doing hard labor, and what do they get at the end of the day? if record companies are going to bitch about mp3's, and if metallica is going to sue furniture stores for being named "metallika furniture store", well fuck them then. the media makes it such a tragedy because so and so performer is losing out on HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars in Mp3 downloads, the poor rich bastards. keep downloading Mp3's.

People don't steal from record stores, as often as they download, because it's difficult...not because they choose not to. Protection for the theft of electronics, is fluctuating by increasingly large sums, in comparison to the actual piracy that is slowly, stripping the music indrustry to pieces.
