slipknot is not death metal. if you are over 13 and still think they are, then you are a lost cause. it really doesnt matter though since slipknot sucks and so does death metal. and anyone who doesnt like metal is going to be really really annoyed by the screaming aspect, so dont act like they should react to it like you were playing kenny g.

I sort of have to agree with you and disagree...

I love listening to my music REALLY load aswell....
But you could have been a little bit more considerate....like just closed your window or somthing.....or turn it up really really loud then if they ask you to turn it down turn it down and it will still be really loud.....hahahhaa


Alot of people dont even class slipknot as metal at all....if you check out http://www.metal-archives.com/ they have pretty much every metal band ever and slipknot are not in their list.

I also love slipknot ALOT!

Death metal Vocals tend to be more deep and "gutteral" and deep than other metal....And as lateralus said it is normally extremely fast, and complex on all parts of the music....
The musicianship behind some death metal is absolutly phenominal....But im sure most people would find it too brutal and a bit noisy if you dont get into it.

ohh I could go on and on.....but at the end of the day it's down to preference really

And yeah I hate people who give you weird looks and call you shit because of what you listen to or how you look.....it sucks......but humans seem to like to be in groups, and where there are groups of people there will always be discrimination.
