eating raw bud
Butter is actually an effective substance to use when you prepare pot to eat. If you want, you can just simmer an 1/8 with a few pads of butter and let it warm up on a stove and that would be all you need to do to have pot that is ready to eat and that will get you high.

Most of the failures I hear about from freinds can be traced to the fact that they did not prepare it correctly, ie, added pot to the concoction without heating the actualy pot itself in the recipe (meaning they add the pot AFTER everything is cooked, which is a step towards failure), or they simply did not use enough. When I use it to cook, I will use anywhere from 1/8 for a single serving of pot-buter to an ounce or more for cakes and brownies.
The basic principal is that anything high in fatty oils, ala butter, peanut butter, milk, etc, will make the THC soluable for your body to absorb.
It will take a while to digest and get you high, but when cooked right it will indeed get you high. The advantage is that all of the pot is used, and none is left to burn away into the attmosphere. Also, eating it is a way to avoid the free radicals and carcinogens given off when you burn the pot.
