floating sprouted seeds??
alrighty latewood got another question for ya.........i get home from work tonight and see that 1 and 1/2 (i will explain this) plants out of 4 have started to come up above soil level.....
plant #1......well what can i say, went to work came home and all of a sudden i got a 1/4 inch or better sprout.......it started to go up strait then its got like a 45 degree angle in it now with the shell still on it.....i'm guessing thats the weight of the shell pulling it down maybe?? then in the soil there was some stuff that kind of looked like a spiderweb.........out of 4 cups only the one has it and its my best looking (and really only) sprout......what is this??
plant #2 this is where the 1/2 comes in.....well where do i begin this was the first seed to germinate and was my pride and joy for about 6 hours until the 2nd one germinated........she TRIED to pop up above the soil but it looks like something is holding it down because its just a big arch coming out of the soil.........no top wish i had a picture for ya to see cuz i don't know if you'll understand what i'm saying.......is this normal will it grow out of it????
if anyone can help me out that would be GREAT!!! lates

floating sprouted seeds??
laughing,,,but not at your expense...LOL
1st off alright! Now you are growing...
2nd If a sprout is growing at an angle...It is usually because plant is angling/growing towards the light...I don't worry about the little things like that.
the other sprout was upside down and the taproot came up...realized it was not a groundhog...and is noe digging it's was back underground...like a corkscrew. No worry...let it take it's course...///big Note: you might be able to gently, turnbit around, but you could damage it...It is a judgement call...I did it once, because the sprout climbed right out of the rapid rooter I started in. In fact it is the C99xNL5 I am growing.??? let me know, if this helps.

floating sprouted seeds??
just another quick question..........i started out with some (shitty i'm guessing) soil from wally-world because i'm very low on money........but when time comes to transplant would it shock the plants if I threw them in some foxfarm soil?? i just don't see the soil i have being too good..........will this make a major difference since its my first grow?

floating sprouted seeds??
yes, you can...I have grown many with wally's 1.99 sterile top soil...I mix it with 35-40% perlite @wallys for 2.99
and peatmoss, just to soften it up a bit. also about 2.99
so it is up to you...
Foxfarm is great stuff, but if money is tight you will be fine...just don't but miracle gro. lw

floating sprouted seeds??
right on........well i mixed probably 30% perlite (from walmart) but no peatmoss and my soil is kinda hard but i guess its too late to do that..........also how much water should i be giving these things?? i've been trying to keep the soil moist and giving them water every morning...........but i read somewhere that watering everyday like that can make them rootbound, is this right?? should i increase the water so i only do it every couple days?? i know that when they are bigger that i'm only supposed to give them water to make it for 3 or so days..........i'm in the dark on seedlings though.................peace
