Don't bother with the counting. Just follow each breath as it comes in, and then goes out. When first starting its easiest to listen to your own breath, and to mind the sensation of breath entering and exiting the body. Eventually you'll want to let go of that as well...
Polymirize Reviewed by Polymirize on . Meditation technique? Anyone have any good meditation techniques to share? Last night I lay down in flat with my arms next to me and my legs straight. Pretty comfy. I tried clearing my mind using a technique a therapist gave me years ago. By counting as I breath, four in four out. The problem with that is I see the numbers in my head as my inner monologue speaks them. Also I think the voice in my head isn't really clearing my mind it's just drowning everything else out.
