I am not saying that nobody has an opposing view, or are undecided - I just have not met anybody that thinks the United States government, not foreign terrorists, was responsible for the attack(s).

Breukelen..I know you were not physically affected but how about the thousands that did see it and its a mental issue? I mean..I watched just some parts of 9-11 and I just can't watch it again..its not only scary to me..it actually made me sick..how can people there not look at that place everyday and not be reminded? Or wonder if it will happen again? I just am glad I didn't see it close up..and when I said offend someone..I am saying that no matter my view on 9-11 when I know a person has close ties such as you..I would not want to inadvertently disrespect that day by saying something inappropriate because I didn't click a link before I "spoke"...and I have thought about how the victims families and friends feel reading about conspiracy theories..must go beyond hurt.

Shelby, I'd say that I had PTSD for at least a year - which triggered another medical condition that I only recently was diagnosed with - and I'm much better now.
It was especially upsetting to me when I'd pass the firehouse across from Ground Zero: I believe that most, if not all, of the firemen from there perished. Before 9/11, I used to see them almost every day.
I have Ground Zero pictures that were taken about a week or so after the attack, by a co-worker of my wife's that was allowed into a WTC complex building where they worked. I'll post them soon.
As far as the U.S. government's responsibility, all I think is that this should never have happened. I've mentioned before that I was across the street from the WTC in 1993 when it was bombed. That should have been a major wake-up call. That bomb was meant to bring the towers down. Additionally, the security of American airliners was horrendous.
If we're going to get involved with hotbeds of religous violence, nationalism and other controversies, it's only a matter of time until the extremists hit you at home. Of course, violence doesn't HAVE to happen - but when big money is involved, it's a lost cause.
I used to work in several WTC buildings, years ago. I still have my picture ID cards, including a special one from the NY Port Authority that gave me permission to enter during nights and weekends.

Maybe you can explain this then..in 93..there were no questions about our Government then..why this campaign of hate now? I would think more toward conspiracy in 93 than 2001,considering bombs were used. I hope I am making sense..what I am saying is this..if our Government wanted this to happen and could have prevented it..then with that much power and secrecy why not something more in line like 93 than all of this with the planes? I don't believe our Government did it..no way..but I do agree that this should not have happened..especially after 93..and once again..I have a very different outlook on this than when I first joined..I travel to Albany..right at the port sometimes just to eat at a certain rest. lol..but I never asked the natives about that day..guess that is why I feel safer doing it here..anyways..I really appreciate you sharing that day..it does help open my mind when someone can tell me a viewpoint when they have been there and done it so to speak..so thank you...and I also learned not to call people Nazis..
Not a nice word to be tossing around at all.
Oh..and glad you were smart enough to seek treatment..and that it helped.
