I guess it mostly depends on which part of the state you live in. I was a HUGE Spurs fan back when they had Billy Paultz, George Gervin, James Silas, Larry Kenon, Coby Dietrick, and Doug Moe was their coach. I remember how sad I was when the old Dallas Chaparrals moved to San Antonio and became the Spurs. But I followed those guys intently.

I was at the very first Mavs preseason and regular season games in their first year, and since I live in this area, I have been a fan since day one. But I really like the Spurs as well. I've never been a Rockets fan, though I pulled for them back in the early 90's during their brief run at the title when Michael Jordan was "retired" and playing baseball. Unlike people who live in two-team cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, or New York and have a hatred for their rivals, I tend to support any team from Texas.

Yeah...Ill support the Mavs too because theyre a fellow Texas team...but I was just hoping the spurs would take it...As long as a Texas team wins the championship Im good Texas has College Football and Professional Basketball...Now we just need to get the Cowboys in shape along with the Astros... Though I dont really watch baseball..

Last night was a lot of suspense for me, I though it was a very good game them spurs put up a fight and caught up quickly

Well it all paid off, Us maverick fans will be watching them play the miami heat. Im glad we beat the suns in the sixth game
