Harvest Pictures... and a question (of course...lol)
Okay I just cut these 30 minutes ago!
Here are all five of my tops from my one plant. There were actually 2 others, but they were far smaller (only about 20-24 inches tall with smaller buds) and on the other side of this line.
Please look at the pictures and let me know if it is okay that they dry like this, or should I cut them so each branch dries seprately? I would like to do it jut like this, but I dont want mold either.
Please let me know what you think as this was my first go round.
Thanks for everyone's help in all my other threads.Stickyplant Reviewed by Stickyplant on . Harvest Pictures... and a question (of course...lol) Okay I just cut these 30 minutes ago! unless its unusually humid in that room, you shouldnt have to worry about molds ... keep a slight breeze in the room, just enough to move the air ... too much fan wiill dry them out too quickly ... by the way, your 'drying room' is nicer than the one I live in ... damn ... :smokin:

Thanks Reaper! For both the grow and room compliments.
There is a vent in the ceiling that should very slighty move the air.
Should I have paper under these to catch any resins? Or is that an urban legend?

Awsome buds dude. I never heard of resin dripping. Never had it happen. Just need to trim the big leaves off.

Thanks Loc,
That is really the question right? Is there any benefits besides faster drying to cutting off the fn leaves?
I have read to keep them on, and cut them. Zandor posted a thread that Grim posted a link to that stated to keep them on for a more even, all-be-it longer dry.
I am interested on everyone's take.
(I dont think t was Zandor's actual post that stated to keep the fan leaves on... but it was in the tread.)

Hello Stickyplant
Only how I do it, but I just trim everything down when harvesting them hang up. By the way Sticky, are you hanging them in a dark place because light has a tendancy to degrade the THC value. Dark and well ventilated is best, Oh and it needs to be dry as a damp area could cause bud rot.
By the way love, that is a very impressive first grow, infact it's impressive for any grow

Hey Mand,
I have them hanging in a dark room. During the day it is not pitch dark, but there is no sunlight (no windows) and only small light bleed from another room 2 rooms away, but it is not direct light. You cant see in the room, but again, it is not pitch dark during the day. It has a vent in the ceiling and the air is slowly exchanged in the room approx 2-3 times per hour.
69 degrees 50% humidity.
Thanks for the kind words! It is nice to see and hear how you do it. Is there any reason you cut off the fan leaves?

Seems to me and alot of others that it is way more easy to trim when first harvested. I have seen no difference. either way. Only pain in the ass the longer you wait cause it goes limp and wants to wrap around the bud. But try it and let us know what you think.
PS, hello to mand. nice buds.

Hello again Stickyplant
, sounds fine to me were you have them
The fan leaves ?, I just throw them away. The resinous leaves and the small buds I just put them in a cardboard shoebox and force dry them, only takes a couple of days but there a bit "eerrgghhh" to smoke.
Hello LOC NAR, I think that was buds of about three or four plants there love. It was one I did about a year ago now, since then I did one that was very dissapointing quantity wise, another that I had to abandon, so I'm very ready for the present one to be completed ............ I'm now smoking the force dried stuff
