Anything is a crime these days, that's how the government likes it. Even the crusaders for the war on drugs know that drug use will never stop, it hasnt stopped, it's only become more widespread. George Bush can use cocaine but if I dare use cocaine Im going to prison for a long time. President Clinton, the speaker of the house, and probably 90% of Congress and the Senate has smoked weed, but if I smoke weed I'm going to prison where I belong!

If the "War On Some Drugs" was ended, it would eliminate meth and meth labs. No one would choose to do meth when they could do cocaine. So meth and meth labs would be elimated. Drug dealers and a large % of violence in the United States would be eliminated. Gangs would be eliminated because they live off of the sell of illegal drugs. 40-50% of crime would be eliminated. Billions of tax dollars would be freed up to catch real criminals and to provide treatment. Hundreds of thousands of jobs would be created for the new drug market and treatment programs. And most importantly, good people would no longer be sent to prison and families would no longer be torn apart so often.

But hey, I guess America, the land of liberty and freedom, can't allow responsible adults making their own choices about what they put in their body.
