In fact ANYONE can get ahold of body armor, and the assailants in LA didnt have military armor, they had 2 layers of civilian armor.
What held them aside from the regular hold up man is that they had technical expertise that allowed them to make semi-automatic weapons into automatic weapons.
Do some research on gunsmithing and you will see that its not that hard to do.
It's only some modifications to internal parts. Not only that, I think even you could get yer hands on an Uzi or an Ak for the right amount of money, without even havring to know anything about gunsmithing.
Not to mention your example is almost 10 years old.
Do you really think that an isolated inccident almost 10 years ago is cause for the drastic changes in DOD policy?Whatever I post is in no way to be taken as fact, read on your own free will, and believe what you wish.
