Grow Closets ???

Has anybody out there used a product called the "The Caddy ?" It is a self contained grow closet that is hydrponic and looks very efficent. Supposed to grow 595 grams per month in a 3'x2'x72" closet. Any feedback on this product ??

Just because you have a set size of space, it does not gaurentee any yield numbers. That is what we call propaganda or "A sales pitch" The biggest thing that affects yeild (IMHO), in this order is:

#1 Your experience
#2 Light (wattage/lumens per square foot)
#3 Genetics
#4 Soil or Hydro
#5 Every other variable (nutes, medium, training)


You will note that in that list, you will not see "The Caddy"

You experience alone if nil, could be the difference between an ounce or a pound. That is, if 2 different growers had to grow in the same space, with the same Equipment. One with no experience would get schwag, while the other would be smoking the sinse. Practice makes perfect, not the Caddy.

I pretty much agree with Relic, but I would put Hydro VS soil, and light at the top of the list. Even a dumbass can grow something amazing with the proper nutes and a big light.

My opinion on grow closets is this: They are great if you have a lot of money, don't want to do things yourself or are in a hurry, and don't mind settling for the way someone else wants to design your closet.

I'm a DIY kind of guy. That way I get exactly what I want and I know it's done right. I am fairly handy with tools, and I have access to a lot of good ones. I also think building it yourself is much more fun, but time consuming.

Weigh the options. The choice is in your hands...
