You dont have a cosigner for electric. The electric goes in your own name. You don't need a cosigner. It's a different entity. It works as a seperate system from the rental agency. They don't share information.

I will be paying for my own electricity, and rent, so there's not an issue.

The only way I can see getting a generator is if my breaker can't provide enough power to a certain room. They're inneficient, noisy, expensive to purchase, and consume $.

The actual OWNER of the property (not the property manager) may be the nosey type and may come on his property to walk around and check things out. This is something I definately want to be wary of. I'll probe for information about the homes actual owner. Maybe I can find a place owned by someone who lives in another country.

If the house is located near a college, I'll say I'm a grad student and will be getting roomates. I don't know if this is a good excuse if the house is located across town from the campus when there's better options available. I could say, "yeah, I want this house because its located next to ___(such and such place)____." But that would mean I Rating: 5
