That is of course what a co-signer is there for right?
No man, a co-signer isn't usually there for financial support. Basically if you can't pay your rent (this is entirely seperate from utilities in the U.S.) then the cosigner has to pay on your behalf.

In my case, I'm using a co-signer because like I said, I dont have a job that pays me enough to meet the minimum income requirements to rent a house.

Graph,
Gasoline for the generators would eat up a good amount of money. I would like to talk to other people that the property management company leases through. I'll be looking for a management company that's as negligent as possible
