To make a long story short, my dad tried to commit suicide in early April and I haven't seen him or talked to him ever since. I learned that he had been quite depressed for some time, and that he needed to be away from his kids while he sorts things out. My stepmom, who is the only one who's seen him since, said that he still feels extremely guilty about what he did and so on, so there's no telling how long until I get to even see him.
