What part of the system worked. NONE. 50k in superdome, no water, no toilets, no way out. About another 25k on overpasses. I was taken out of my house at gunpoint. No way I was going to the dome. 3 airboats, 12 to 15 FEMA bountyhunter type deputies. Took em about 45 minutes. But, they got me. The water had just cleared my floor. 11 days on the roof to try and save the little left. They took me out when I was finally able to save stuff. Had built a little 6x6 shack up there. Shade, no mosquitoes (screen), fresh fruit from my banana trees, marines dropped me water and food on the 2nd day. Coast guard big pain in the butt. Marines rulez.

But, complete failure from the pumping stations to the federal response. I am living in a 100k FEMA trailer. 8K of trailer, 92k of graft.

The feds came in through the 82 airborne. And broke open EVERY HOUSE. The looting, predominately by the influx of house gutters was rampant. Everything was wide open.

Prior to the hurricaine it was business as usual, line those pockets, while ignoring reponsibilities.
