Explain exactly wat a hit is!!!

I think there is just a confusion with terminology but when ppl on these posts talk about getting say 3 or 4 hits, what does this mean.

The way we do it here (Oz), is we pack the bowl and hit it in one go, unless ur a newbie and ur lungs cant take it then u take ur time and have a couple hits to finish it, but i dont think everyone on these forums are amateurs surely...

When people talk about getting a few hits off the bowl and get stoned as (surely ur not getting stoned of one bowl with the more hits u take the more u get stoned) what are u getting at its confusing me?? exaplain.....

It seems to me that you pack bongs and clear it all in one hit? Ok, I'll attemp to define 'a hit' When you light the weed, inhale, and exhale. All of these things together construe into 1 hit. Now, from my bubbler, I usually pack 0.3 in it. I can usually at least hit it 6 times, prob more. So, yeah, I don't hit it all in one go, so I guess I'm a 'newbie' Basically when people say they took 3 or 4 hits, they inhaled and exhaled 3 or 4 times. Meh, hope that made sense.

That definetly could be it, because if you can pack a gram or more into your bong bowl and finish it in 1 hit, then I dunno.

I like to take big hits, but, I can't finish 2 grams out of a huge bong bowl. I can finish my pipe in 1 hit but I don't like to do it, I like to do it big hit but not the whole the fucking thing so my throat burns.

good luck with that because i have never once see anyone smoke a fat bowl pack in one hit, and if u did u would be lighting the weed repeatady. We pack fat ones and pass that shit or if to the dome we take at least 6-9 hits. Also there are all different bongs and bowls out there so...

A hit is when you take the lighter to the bowl inhale then exhale weed smoke.

LOL....when I was in high school there was a dude that was into golden gloves boxing. He would make bets with people on packing a hash bowl. If he did it in one hit, it's free, if not....there was a dollar value (can't remember how much) That son of a bitch had lungs of steel!!!

Ok, a hit is taking whatever sized drag on anything. It doesn't matter what you're smoking out of, or how big it is, one toke is a hit. What you and your mates do is called 'sinking'. You 'sink' the whole bowl in one go. This probably means you have small ass bowls, cos if all your friends are downing entire bowls and only newbies take multiple hits then you guys must be like the messiahs of weed smoking. I've only seen 3 people sink a full bowl in my life time, and I myself have only sunk a full packed bowl once in my life. One of my proudest moments.
