    As good as Rocks?

A few months ago someone here came up with the idea of putting white rocks on top of the soil to reflect more light. I've read that it's important to keep it clean and free of dead leaves, etc. These styrofoam packing things seem to work well. Every little bit counts!

Yes, they look pretty sad as it was their day for water and I have 12 ladies in a 9 X 5 foot room. That many plants crowded in has made poor light for the lower parts of the plants. Take a look at my last entry of Third Times a Charm for a better look at my latest pics. http://boards.cannabis.com/showthrea...ght=lady+vapor

Ya know a couple weeks ago I was tying down branches I laughed to myself as I was listening to Tangerine Dream's "Ambient Monkeys" - I thought to myself, "This is getting ridiculous - Real monkeys could be swinging on these fishing lines." Pic. one shows how I've since been able to get a little more room with the plants naturally thinning in flowering. Now I move some of the pots sitting that slid easy on styrofoam from shipping boxes. Pic two shows mid way up. Pic. three shows the canopy. I can't wait for this grow to be complete so I can enlarge to a 9' X 8' space. Sometimes I feel like I'm doing Yoga while crawling around like a monkey to get to each plant. However, it will be worth it this time for the yield

styro packing nuts sounds like an OK addition, besides a bit of light refelection, it just looks nice, and should provide some temperature insulation to the soil ... probably little or no gain there, but it looks clean and tidy, might make it easier to spot crawling things, too ... :smokin:

    Thanks image reaper!

When I watered it, they just float right up and the dirt didn't even stick to it. Next December will mark the beginning of a nice grow - It will have an additional 18 sq. feet of floor space. By then I might have enough to cover the floor too
