Tips on getting just a sprout

ok everyone i got some seeds i got off a friend who sed he had crystals on his 6 week old plant....so i got about 10 of them of him

I live at home and i dont reall have any place im willing to leave a plant and risk it but im gona try sprout them at least and mayb leav it in the bushland near my hous where i had my previous unsuccessful crop.

Im pretty unsure on how to start the germination cause last time i did the whole moist paper towel thing and it didnt work at all....what to do???

if the seeds are brownish or darker then they're good if they're yellow/white then they won't germinate, soak them in fresh water till they sink then wet a paper towel and place them in there and place in a dark warm place look there every day or twice a day till they start popping, then place in your soil

yer thats pretty much wat i did hey, and the seeds are of good quality i know, they are a nice green with dark green streaks on them rite.

I put them in water, some sank some didnt, so i put them in the moist paper towels and put them on the top shelf of my closet (a good place??) and kept the paper towels moist and for 2 weeks nuthn happend

wtf how hard is it to sprout seeds?

is it a warm place the warmer (not hot) the better, sometimes if the seeds are old they take longer to germinate

YEPi had the same probl..as ALWAYS,,did the whole paper towel thing unsure bout germinat..the 1st shot out 2nd time was a lil differ..did get some succes,BUT,BUT think waited 2 long 2 drop in sponges (did 2 in spomges and 2 in rockwool) JUST 2 compare had a tail and all but used distilled water and a tiny drop of (S.thrive) soaked each method and placed under a splitter bulb Flo of course 1(100wcfl)2nd was 100wcfl natural lite andplaced dome cover over sprouted placed beansand completely bullshit happened can i get the 411 on this so i reset the whole grow i need 2 get past this stage cause with close 2 4oo beans waitin got me ansty

YOu know ... the metod that i use it putting the seed inbetween a moist cotton ball....and placing that cotton ball on a small saucer plate with another saucer plate on top, and wrapping it all in saran wrap to keep in the moisture. I then keep the saucer in a dark cabinet, and w/in 24hrs to 3 days, it sprouts everytime. It was a technique passed on to me by a growing guru, and it's worked every single time.
