need help with Foxfarm "tiger Bloom"

ok first off yea I'm NEW....

I'm growing in soil and have used "grow big" (and superthrive) for the veg cycle just swithced over to 12/12 a couple days ago and so today I picked up some "tiger bloom" well the back of the bottle says :

Directions for best results: Raise the pH to the desired level between 5.8 and 6.3. Add a pH up adjuster. For hydroponic systems, use a conductivity or ppm meter to monitor water quality and control nutrient strength. This will ensure maximum delivery of nutrients. For recirculating systems, use 2-3 teaspoons per gallon. For aggressive strength, use 4 teaspoons per gallon. For bag culture, use 1 teaspoon per gallon. For foliar feeding, use 1/2 teaspoons per gallon. Use a pump sprayer and apply to both sides of leaves.

so, not to sound too stupid but what mixture do I want to use ?? do I want to use the "bag culture" one ?? and do I realy need to mess with the ph of my water I never did it with the grow big and and my soil stayed good but then again it never said anything about the ph on the bottle of grow big...

    Thanks

you must adjust the ph or you're gonna have big problems. i used tb and you should also use big bloom because they are meant to be used together and not as stand alone ferts. start with 5ml per gal and work up to 15ml per gal with the tb but watch closely not to burn them. also you can use as much as 2oz big bloom per gal along with the tb. just start small and work up to it. i have found that liquid karma and thrive alive green used in conjuction with the ff ferts make a huge difference in quality and yeild! good luck

    DHO6... hello there!!

If you have grown before without checking your ph of your water.. and you are using the same water NOW.. then you may be ok.. it really depends on how the nutrients effect your PH.

It really is very very easy to make 6.8 ph water....

    http://plantitearth.com/store/produc...id=63&catid=65

You need some of this stuff.. it is so easy to check your water.. and then to adjust it down you use vinegar and to adjust it up you use baking soda..

PERFECT PH is the CORNER STIONE to succesful growing...

Is your plant asking for nutrients?
    can you post a picture?

If you are unsure of how much nutrients to use, always go LIGHT... once you over fertilize.. you can BE FUCKED..

    thanks for replying !!

my water tests out like low 7 something (sorry cant remember exactly) but I read somewhere here that if your soil is testing out 6.8 then your good to go ? I've been checking the ph of the soil every so often and it is staying at 6.8 don't know if it matters any but I'm also using Ocean Forest for soil

everything looks to be verry happy !! I'm still giving them grow big so I hav'nt started with the tiger bloom yet I just switched over the lighting to 12/12 on wedensday so I probably still have a few days till I need to start feeding the bloom.

oh yea the water needs to be 6.8 AFTER nutes are added right ?

this is my first grow and I realy appreciate all the help from all of you here ...

here are a couple pics of my grow...and yea I should have topped the tall plants but I was too scared to mess them up...LOL . I'm not going to grow that strain next time only the strain on the right side...

    Thanks

i would shoot more for 6.4 after the nutes are added.

btw the grow looks excellent. i wish i had the space for a grow like that! have you given any thought to hanging the bulbs vertically. if you have adequate space it is a much better way to utilize ALL OF THE LIGHT OUTPUT without having to reflect it back down to the plants

    hey guys thanks

justaseed the bulbs are actualy AGROSUN red reflector bulbs (600w) they have a reflector in the bulb so there is no light "lost" bouncing arround in the actual reflector. I only got the reflectors for a housing incase I needed to evacuate some heat from the lights out of the grow room...

if you hang them vertically you can have 2 rows of plants on either side, stadium style and you will get much more efficient use of the light. if a light is horizantal then half of the light produced must be reflected down to the plants there is no way around it unless you have one of those 360 gi grow systems. whether or not the light is reflected by the bulb or housing it is still reflected. as i said your grow looks excellent, i was just giving my 2cents. if i had that kind of space i would grow stadium style no question. that is how the large indoor "cash crops" are set up to get the most use of light/space. anyway, keep up the great work and keep use updated as to the progress of the grow, what are you shooting for yeild wise?...4lbs? i think that is a good conservative expectation for a 2.5kw (1st) grow. i could be wrong though my biggest grow was a 400hps scrog in a 2'x4' closet with yeilds close to 1lb. currently i have no grow due to legal issues. i would definetely like to hear your thoughts on what you are expecting. btw do you have a separate veg room. if not you should think about that as well. i had a 2'x4' veg chamber with 8 4ft argosun full spectrum (t12)flouros. with that i was able to supply 3 flower chambers so i could have 3 full harvests every 7-10 weeks, strain dependant. sorry about the long post. and if i haven't already said it your grow looks great!!!!!!lol
