Question for anyone who knows..

Is the browning of stigmas (hairs, pistils, ect) and THC loss late in the flowering period due to the actual AGE and EXPOSURE of the THC to the surrounding environment, or is it due to the plant's life coming to an end?

(simple-ese: will the resin glands stay on my plants without losing potency as long as my plant is alive? or will they just degrade and brown and fall off until I flower again?)

The reason I ask is I had 3 plants in flowering, chopped one and decided to put the other two back into the vegetative state.

The reason being for this is both of the plants have lost a lot of foliage due to an underwatering issue awhile back, as well as have a few PH problems I'm addressing right now. (close call, the main stem was beginning to purple)

I plan on growing these out while starting a few little ones to join them and then just flowering the lot of them.

Thanks!
