actually dueling is alot different then what you think. Its never a fight to the death, in fact, if the other person died...the killer was held accountable. when alexander hamilton was killed by burr...he was tried for murder.

Look up the rules for dueling. Its supposed to stop when blood is drawn. Guns make dueling much more riskeier.

there are alot of rules like...when using guns, must aim for legs/arms

he who has been challenged in the duel MUST choose the wepon used
when somebody has been inflicted...the inflictor must back off and allow a chance for forfiture

the duel can be called off at any time if the person agrees to apologize...

look it up its reaaalll cool stuff.

however, i totaly agree with you that it should be legal. (no need for a contract...you need a witness, that covers that)
