New to Indoor Growing, couple days in:

Well pretty much as the title says, im new to growing indoors, and not just indoors growing altogether. As of right now here is what I have done:

I had about 15 seeds and got 2 layers of Paper Towel and set all the seeds in 2-3 rows and placed 2 more very damp layers of paper towel again and set them outside for a couple days while checking on them and what not after it rained and got sun etc.

After about 2-3 days they all pretty much had a 1-2cm long main root and the remaining ones that looked bad or didnt do anything I got rid of (About 5)

So I then got 3 2x2 flower flats (Hopefully you know what im talkin about) and placed one seed in each little section about less or an inch deep in this soil I have. And watered it and its been in the sun/under my lights for about 12 hours a day with of course it being damp/wet also.

Its been about 3 days while in the soil and I really have no idea what should be happenin right now so I carefully dug around one till I found it to hopefully see somethin new. I guess its in a very young stage but it completely lost the seed coating and the one I found was about 1-2 inch long with mostly the root taking up that length and I could tell where the plant was comin up.

Hopefully ive givin enough info, I have no idea of the Soil used other then its real rich and has fertilizer in it. I can give you specs on it in the morning. And its getting Sun whenever its sunny outside other then that im using two lamps I found around the house that probaly arent the best what-so-ever but it generates good heat and gives good light.

So im wondering is this a good place to be at? After about a good 5 days of growing so far am I at a good spot and when could I expect the plants to pop up above the soil? And when it does what would be the good next few steps to make sure they are strong enough to transplant. Thanks for your help and hopefully I can get far enough to share with you guys the end result of my plants. :rasta:

increase the number of hours of light you give the to at least 18 hours

don't plant them so deep, 1/2 inch is plenty deep enough

what kind of light are you using?

what kind of light will you use in the future?

you will need several 1-3 gallon pots and preferably some high quaility organic soil and a bag of perlite.

well if your useing incondescent lights there of no use wrong spectrum i would atleast get some cfl's about 10 bucks at home depot for a three pack also get a 5 dollar light timer and set it 18 hrs light on 6 hrs light off cfl's dont make alot of heat so keep them 2-4 in above the top of the plants also a fan will make your plants have stronger stems if you let it blow LIGHTLY on your babys too much and you'll dry them out

Well damn im glad the buls are about 10$ im really on a low budget. And also what a coincidence almost all my seeds came outa the ground last night, and almost a whole inch out for some. Thats almost double the growth in the past 18 hours then it has been this whole time. Thanks
