    SOG/Hydro Question on Flowering

I am doing my first grow in a PC Planter from Sunlight Sheds, a small turnkey hydro system. In reading, it seems I am doing a SOG grow, which is fine.

Here is the question...the instructions are to go to 12/12 to flower the plants at 3-4inches, which gives them the opportunity to flower before they outgrow the box. After 2 weeks, the plants are doing great, 4 inches, with 2 levels of leaves (6) (NL seeds).

Is this enough leaf formation to start flowering? I know SOG is different, but it does seem early.

Hope the experts can give a newbie some advice.

    SOG/Hydro Question on Flowering

most of these instructions u have are for clones not seed , most dutch seed now can be put into flowering from about 3 weeks old from seed . as clones are the same age as the mother plant they can go in after a couple of weeks vegging.most plants are fully matured at 8 weeks
    i hope this helps

    SOG/Hydro Question on Flowering

well you should sex them and that takes more time. You could end up with holes in your grow by the time you get rid of the males.

Plants grown from seed need at least 3 weeks to gather all the antioxidants together to grow healthy plants. They are stored in the main cola and provide the plant with the instructions it needs to grow.
