a kif cathcer can be one of a couple things.

They make boxes that have a very fine screen on the bottom, sometimes a couple screens with the space between the wires progressivly getting smaller as it moves down. when the bud is broken up or stored over/in the box, the resin taht falls off falls through the screen whereas any plant matter gets caught above. you can usually remove the screen or the bottom of the box to harvest the kif.

or you can buy a grinder with a kif catcher.
these grinders usually have 3 chambers.
you place the bud in the first chamber an grind it up
the ground up bud falls through into a second chamber with a screen bottom, like one you would find in a box.
the third chamber holds the kif and can be removed to harvest.

i would only suggest the box if you are dealing with a good amount of weed on a regular basis as they can be quite expensive so unless you expect a good regular output i dont think it would be worth it.

the grinders can be expensive, but you can also find some cheap ones o ebay or something im sure, and they can be well worth it as you can accumalate the kief over long periods of time.

as for the pricing of kif, ive never heard of anyone selling it, but if you were to press the kif into good hash im sure you could sell it an upwards of 40$ a gram, probly wrong about this though as hash is hardly found in usa as apposed to weed.

ps. if you are working with any type of screen dont forcefully rub the bud against it. i have seen many do this, and this results in a green les pure hash as apposed to the blong hash you are looking for. Although some say this adds flavor, i personally like a good golden brown chunk thats also easier to work with your hands.

smoke it. press it into hash.

there is a very easy way to do it.
Buy some parchment paper from your local halmark or paperstore whatever they are called.
fold your paper in half spreading your kif out a pit so its still a good layer, but not in one roung pile.

take this paper and iron it, (yes iron it) on a low low heat, probably like 2 or 3, if your iron has heat settings. this will cause the trichomes to burst and prettymuch meld togther, resulting in a stick of flexible hash you can fold into a lump before it cools down.
