1. even if some of the trichomes or "sugar" had come off, it wouldnt matter being as theirs thc in the actual plant matter.

2. If it had been used to make hash, it would have been at least ground if not powdered, depending upon the method of the hash making. and even without the trichomes you should still get high.

my best bet is that your not breathing correctly. In my opion, people dont usually get high the first time they smoke becuase they do not properly inhale, and even though its not your first time, it could also just be the piece thats making you breath weird. if you dont smoke alot, it should burn when you inhale deeply. This is what your looking for.

by the way, smoking out of tin cans is nasy. make an apple pipe.
