    Fluorescent Light Color Spectrum

I'm setting up a cabinet to start seedlings in before they go outside to their final resting place. I've got some fluorescent light fixtures with 'sunshine' bulbs in them. They are only 2 footers, and the color is 5000k. Is that too high to promote veg growth in plants?

    Thanks

5000K have usually a good spectrum for vegging. It isnt high at all, the most used fluo temp color indoors are 6000-6500K, looking for more compact plants. But 5000K is fine, especially if the plant will flower outdoors.

Anyway, the difference between fluo's colors are small, all work fine in veg if u use enough watts.

Thats what I was hoping to hear, thank you sir. I will update you guys on the situation. I've got 20 bagseeds in hydro blocks right now. I'm going to put the others in soil starter pallets. We'll see how it goes. I'm hoping for a FEW good ones out of all these....

Cool, I got about 40 Watts of 5000K. It's ends up at like 1800 lumens or somthing.
