Just crop it in your nuts, don't carry any metal on you, and once you pass the metal detector, you'll be fine. I done this several times a couple post 9/11, even with an ounce (not comfortable)

you could just plant a gun on someone infront of you so the guards are busy with that unlucky sob and you can get past with the shampoo thingy
