The farmers and hunters thought their life was too tough and started inventing things to make it easier. I doubt I could feel any more spiritual on a modern farm with all the high tech equipment they now have than I do here, in the middle of a city. There's no way to go back, sadly, although it would be interesting to try to live off the land for a while.
Move with me to Central Asia. There we'll be in a land untainted by the technological society-a land who still holds true to their ancestors-a land where spirituality is found in the first step into their culture. I believe we're distracted from the truth, like the others said-only to feed the greed. It's sad really. I wonder if I'll be forgiven...well, I think I answered my own question. But that doesn't mean we can't change. If the truth was to be told, would anyone listen? We've become so fixated on our way of life that many believe it's the new freedom. I suppose my mind has been this way for a reason, and it's not because I don't love myself, but because I've seen my own person stirred and all mixed up...is it because of how I've lived? Is it a personal issue? I beg to differ. When I take a hard look around me all I find is confusion, angst, and strife. Regretful human beings who don't even know what they're regretting-truly. I believe God-the creator of the universe is working overtime. He's inside us all-creating the pain in hopes that someone will open their eyes. God is all I believe. He lives up above and us down below him. Would I be wrong to say humanity is the devil? We must set aside our pain and walk with it, because it'll always follow us-lurking around the corner is hell and only inside your heart can heaven exist.
