Computer Driven Ventilation Fan (DIY Project)?
Was looking at one of the FAQs for odor control, and this setup sounds like something I would love to try. Anyone know where I can obtain a computer driven vent fan like he talks about in this FAQ?

Or anyone know of other fans I can look at using? Also, anyone who is familiar with the process shown, where are the two tubes from the fan going to?LiquidMagik Reviewed by LiquidMagik on . Computer Driven Ventilation Fan (DIY Project)?
ello this could come in handy for ya to get ya fan working without it having to be hooked up to the computer what im about to tell ya works brilliant for me i have 3 fans hooked up together on a dc adapter
on the fans there is 3 wires red, black, yellow the red and black wires are ya elctical wires and the yellow is a fan speed controller wire that monitors rpm
right snip off the yellow wire as it is not needed and take the red and black wires peel off the insulation slightly and wire them to a 12volt dc adapter you can buy these from any hardware stall
snip off the end of ya adapter and there are 2 wires you will notice they are both black but one of them will be marked with lil white lines this is the wire ya will be attaching the red wire too twist them together insulate with electrical tape and do the same on the other black wire
then you are good to go
plug it in dude and thats it
cheers hope this helps

These are great for cool tubes.... to keep the room from being dumped of co2 every 1/2 hour... just draws the heat out from the light and keeps the room temps from rising quickly saving on co2. Remember to draw from the top of your cabinet.

Thanks for that, busteruk7.
Another tip that the dude at the hardware store gave me, probably obvious to most people, but I wouldn't have done it if he hadn't told me -- when ya snip the yellow/white wire down, put a cap on it, or some electrical tape. Exposed wire=bad.
