Is there a campsite at the summit? I will have to look into that. Are you thinking about camping on Saturday night?

I looked on the San Jacinto parks page and seen the different campsites
and they said they fill up quick in the summer. As far as the snow levels I am not sure. Did some searching around but didn't find anything that could give me the exact altitude. I am thinking around 8,000 ft. What do you think? I still have plenty of research to do. I dont think we will need crampons. The trail is pretty well used.

FULLER RIDGE - APPROXIMATELYL TWO MILES BEFORE THE BOTTOM OF THE DESCENT BELOW FULLER RIDGE, BELOW CABAZON
This report was submitted to the PCT-L by Donna Saufley on 5-15-2006:
There is an unusually high number of rattle snakes, (described as a den) approximately two miles before the bottom of the descent below Fuller Ridge, before Cabazon. They were in an area of very tall grass, which made it difficult to see them. Ladybug, who I met at North Fork last night, indicated that she was surrounded by them, at all levels -- this was not a onesy, twosy kind of encounter -- there were dozens, and they were everywhere. She scrambled on top of a large boulder where she could clearly see what was around her, and used her cell phone to get airlifted out of the situation (she felt it was that dangerous).
For some context, Ladybug is an AT completer, and not at all a stranger to passing rattlesnakes on the trail, and also not the hysterical sort who might exaggerate a hazard. She is also moderately hearing impaired, which she thinks may have allowed her to not hear the snakes' warnings. Hikers using headphones could be in the same boat.
At minimum, hikers should use extra caution when going through the tall grass in this stretch, and pay close attention not only to the trail, but to the shelves at body level as well.

Hey. I am not trippin on some rattlers. I will make them my dinner. J/K I have my walking stick so that always helps. A little stomping feet and I should be straight. I found a message board for just the San Jacinto peak. I cant throw the link cause I cant on this computer for some reason. Hey Dr. Hazz could you post that link. You know where it is.
The snow all seems to be pretty soft but still reporting over 3 feet at the summit. This is gonna be cool.
