Physically addicted means withdrawls. I've never shot herion, but IV dilaudid takes about 7-10 days before you get any withdrawl symptoms. Even then they aren't bad. Any longer than that you gonna be hurting. Orally, I don't know, but I did hydros and pod tea for about a month recently, for pain, which may make some difference. Anyway, no problems when I quit except some trouble sleeping.
