anyone tried Virola bark before??? I have like 3 ounces and am wondering how to use it. do I use it the same as Mimosa rootbark???

I though it was the leaves of virola that were used. Tihkal says the leaves are boiled and the liquid is drank, obviously with an MAOI. They are also the part of the plant which the site I get this kind of stuff from sells, no mention of the bark.

well they use the red sap that oozes out of the bark as a snuff
but I was wondering if the bark can be used as ahyuasca

Did some research, and you're right. I'm sure it could be used for ayahuasca, but I have no idea how much to use. Also, it has 5meo-dmt in addition to dmt, and I've heard some very negative experiences of that taken with a MAOI.

wouldnt want to overdue it
I know how the 5meo is much more powerfull than dmt
I would like to try 5meo straight up smoked though :-)
Maybe I can do an a/b extraction

hey mindzeye, how have you been?
well I posted a link to a torrent for a vid on mesc extraction that is easy. I wonder if the alkaloids in other plants can be extracted the same way. the first step is extracting the alkaloids from the plant matter with a water, sodium hydroxide solution. This does work but it is also very different than an acid water stovetop extraction and much easier and faster.
