i was arguing with a couple friends about david blaine...i say its all fake but they think he "sold his soul to the devil" an that its real....i give him prop's for being able to fool people the way he does...but i dont believe its "real"

Exactly. My uncle has shown me so many card tricks, all freaky, and showed me how to do them. I forgot but it is definitely very simple maths.

Every trick he's ever done is well-documented magic - I have personally recreated 5 of his 'most famous' tricks:

1. Turning coffee to coins.
2. 'Magic Card' trick - the one he does on T.V. and viewers at home choose the cards.
3. 'Two-Jacks Switch' trick - where he turns a jack to an ace while you hold it.
4. 'Jumping card' - the one where a visibly bent card 'jumps' from the middle of the pack to the top with a click of the fingers.
5. Street Levitation - c'mon folks, ppl have been mastering this technique for hundreds of years - even David Copperfield himself admits to the trick being a n illusion.

i worked a david copperfield show as a firewatch. he did 4 shows in 2 days. all the shows and tricks were all the same. i got to position myself where i wanted, even behind the curtains.........its no magic at all, all tricks and props! i was surprised at how easy it was for him to make a bunch of people disappear........pure misdirection and lighting. i did have to sign a waiver as to not reveal his tricks....and thats what they were tricks! not magic!
