    please help

    ok, so i first tried weed about a year ago. i got it from a friend. he said it was realy good weed. he said he was a longtime smoker, and 1 bowl of this stuff got him stoned out of his mind. so i got a baggie of it. i went home and tried it, at first nothing, then about 4 hits into it, bam it hit me. my heart starting beating realy realy fast. i started freaking out, i felt realy weird and i dident like it. i then started getting panic attacks. i spent the next 3 hours walking around my room, i was walking because everytime i would sit down on my floor, or lay in my bed, i would start to freak out. it helped it a little bit if i was walking around, so thats what i did for 3 hours. then i wore off, and i swore i would never try it agean. well about a week laiter, i thot i would give it another try, well, the same exact thing happend, i ended up walking around my room, telling myself i was going to be alright, waiting for it to ware off. i then got some weed from someone else, and tried that about 2 weeks laiter. i took the same number of tokes i had taken with the other stuff, around 2-4 tokes. and i dident feel anything, my heart wasent beating realy fast, and i dident get high. at least i dont think so. everything was the same, so i think i dident get high. anyway about a week laiter i went back and tried the other stuff, the realy potent stuff agean, hoping i would finaly like it. the same thing happend, exept i just walked around my house, and went outside a little bit, then went back inside and tried to wach t.v, but i couldent bacuse i was freaking out to much. well, that wore off in about 3 hours, and i was fine. i then got rid of my pipe, and all the weed, and havent smoked for atleast 7 months now. i just read a thread were someone said paranoa is not uncomen when someone unexsperianced used a more potent strand of weed. and that sometimes its too much. they also said thay just smoke weed to relax, and take the edge off. not to get stoned out of there mind. thats what i want to do. how can i do that? what do i have to do? do you have any advice for me? thanks for any help. i might give it one last try, before i give up on weed for the rest of my life ive never had a good exsperiance with weed, but i sure hope i do this next time. thanks for your help.

    Hmm, that's fucked up. I don't really understand what was making you feel so freaked out though. I had a mental picture of you just walking around your room in a circle, try smoking with other people around to help you calm down. I think you're thinking about it too much, just toke, relax and enjoy.

    Sounds to me that the potent shit was spiked, and the weak shit was fake.

    Best bet now dude is to keep trying different sources until you find good quality, unaltered weed. You can adjust the 'strength' by smoking less or more - but at least you know the weed is good. If you get a good batch from 1 person, keep buying there, establish trust and most important to you - make sure the guy is consistent with quality. Smoking dope is great but only if you establish yourself first. Most stoners have at least 2 reliable dealers - advanced smokers grow their own.

    And for christ's sake don't buy from black people.

    It could just be that weed is not for you. If you try again roll a small joint and take two tokes from it then put it out wait 15 minutes then see if you are stoned enough and repeat if neccesary. A lot of people get paranoid and panicy when they first start smoking. I had some mad paranoia when I started smoking. Even though I have been smoking for years I still go easy on a new batch of weed till I have gauged how strong it is. Getting stoned beyond your comfort zone isn't fun.
