Ok, i found a good site that does good quality HID [High Intensity Discharge] lighting: HPS/MH

    http://www.1-hydroponics.co.uk/grow-lights.htm

It's an English site but they got pretty damn good deals, and i think they ship to US, but not positive.

For example, a brand new 600 watt HPS light w/ ballast and wiring for only £100.

Thought that you guys may like to know, spesh for the new growers without the money to be spending..

    Nope, top quality

"All lights are CE certified and guaranteed. They run absolutely silent and have no exposed wires, unlike the budget lights available from other retailers. Made by leading horticultural lighting companies from Holland and England. All thorough testing and approval worldwide. These lights are far from home-made, unlike other cheap lights on the market. Buying lights without CE Certification is like buying a car without a MOT."

i got 2 600 watt hps from this guy for 69.99 each . both excellent lamps , and top ballasts with them. he also supplies with growlux dual spectrum bulbs. 100 quid is too much to pay for a 600 watt.

Was yours brand new though? I'd rather go with the pricey ones cos they will most probably last longer, and i would never buy second hand HPS cos i dont want fires in my home.

lip ur lights are over priced ... and sent me ur info on exploding hps . a light is a light . also what make ur lights better ( cuz ur paying more money from them . ) i have been reading alot of ur posts lip and i think u like to think u know alot about growing, but to be honest ur info is basic and copied from other folk , i have been growing for about 8 years now on and off and these lights are as good as any i have used before .. infact i'd say they are better . i have just spent the most of a 1000 pound buying fans and lights and filters and other stuff for my lastest grow, so u u honestly think i'd buy crap lights.
Oh by the way they have the CE mark that ur on about and they are made in italy

Ooo, well fair do's, personally i have never used them so wouldnt know.

And shallow hal, lmao! You have no idea, High pressure sodium can explode because if you understand the name, they are under high pressure.

All HPS bulbs are tested for like 48 hours to make sure they dont blow up.

If you dont like in advice, put me in your ignore list, personally i couldnt give a fuck what you think. I think your an amature, but i dont go shouting it out. And i have been growing a damn site longer than you.
