Drying out / Help plz / What to do with male?
Hey, so without getting too much into it I've had to cut short my grow plans due to some uh, security issues, so I've been flowering my plants for about a week and plan on harvesting them in a week as well. I got lucky and out of the 6 remaining plants 5 were female... not bad odds huh. Anyways I got the male out of there and he's chilling on the roof currently, but what can I do with him? Should I dry him out or what?
Speaking of which, I've never dried or prepared cannabis before so it'd be real nice if someone could help me out and just tell me what I should plan for or point me to a good guide. Should I practice on the male?
And yeah, I put all my plants in a big tubberware together... don't yell at me, they have been doing great to my observations.ShadowMan420 Reviewed by ShadowMan420 on . The plant won't be ready for harvest if it's only been in flowering for two weeks... In fact, I don't even think the plant is ready for flowering... You won't get much bud... You should have left them in the vegatative state for a few more weeks. Also, flowering will take at least a month... From the pictures you posted though, the plants look nice, just don't kill 'em.
[align=center]Cannabis has done nothing but help myself and others I know. It is a beneficial plant. Anyone who thinks otherwise is ignorant and/or brainwashed. It should not be illegal anywhere in the world.

I agree with Horror, your not gunna get anything if your only planning on flowering for a total of 2 weeks.. give them to a very trusty friend if you have issues with them, and second of all.. get that damn plant off your roof man.. lol no wonder you have security issues if anything flys over you and see's that, say bye bye to your plants, and some money, maybe some jail time dependeing on where your from. but yeah, the plants look good, but they dont even look like they should be flowering yet, i would say another month 3-4 weeks b4 it you should start flowering yet.. but if you only have another week to get bud off that, you may as well just forget it. sorry bout your luck i hope the best for you though.

Your looking at 4-5 grams a plant MAX with that size if they flower. The flowering period for those plants if they will flower is probably going to varry from 7 to 9 weeks.
As to drying and clipping, you can simply use a nail clipper for the bigger leaves and get the majority off and then take some tiny precision sizzors(wtf..stoned) and clip off the rest of the leaves. Take the buds and place them on a coat hanger or a string hanging across a room using clothpins to hold them in place and hang to dry.

Drying out / Help plz / What to do with male?
Hey guys thanks for all the helpful suggestions.
Oh but jakenthegentiles, have you ever heard the old adage "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all"? well apply that to yourself and shut your fucking hole. Maybe you hate noobs but I hate dumbass morons who think their hotshit yet can't even type coherent sentences. Buy a dictionary or something for fucks sake. And I'd like to thank you for not replying to this and never bothering me again.
Anyways thanks again for all the help from the nice people. I made a mistake in what I said earlier, they have been flowering for longer, but they've only been on 12/12 under my light for 2 weeks (now). Prior to that they were in a concealed location on my roof (not where that one is, I put him there for the picture) where they had been flowering for 10 days perhaps. No one can see the top of my roof, I live in a copse of trees and yes while it's true a helicopter in theory could see that plant and ID it I'd find that very unlikely. But still better safe than sorry so I will get rid of it.
And yeah it sucks ass about not having enough time for flowering but as some of you seemed to grasp I don't have any choice. I'm trying to salvage as much of the project as I can, this was more of a learning experience for me as it was my first time growing with a light, now I'll know what to do different next time. It sucks that I won't be able to get the maximum amount of bud from these plants but I'd be perfectly happy if I only got an ounce, something is better than nothing right? So please don't call me stupid or anymore retarded names, if I could keep growing I would, but I can't.
But about the drying, your saying clip off all the leaves and leave the buds and flowers to dry on the stem? If so thanks for the info, this is a great forum, real active and helpful.

While it is a shame that you have to cut those plant so prematurely in their flowering lives, I understand your decision.
Hopefully next time you can take the knowledge you have now and apply it to your next grow and make bigger, fuller, and happier plants.
Better to be safe and have little bud, than to get caught and never smoke bud again.

Here is one of my dried male plants,I just snip the whole plant, and cut it up.I then put it on a baking pan on top of the fridge. It should take only a few days to dry. They don't make good smoke, but you can make some mean cannabis butter out of them.PEACE
