you are prolly right there knowm but I also have proof roots are ok with light.....
did you ever do clones in a bottle on the windowsill???? yup light gets to the roots for sure that way and the plant wont die because of it. just because roots arent naturally exposed to light doesnt mean light will kill them :thumbsup:

The plant to the far right of the pictures was planted on 4/27, and the other three were planted three days latter on 4/30. For the first week and a half or so I had one (I don't know how many watts it is, but it's suppose to be equalivalent to a regular 100 watt bulb) CFL on them (the one on the far right in the black lamp), and then I got the long hood lamp at a garage sale for a buck.
