    My Grow Room/Plants Feedback Wanted

Ok LIP,I have to say something. You gotta stop with your misinformation.
I think alot of us are tired of correcting you. lol
Light on roots=very bad...Tinfoil reflects some light but isn't usless. If you use the right side of it.It dose reflect some light.Flat white paint is better. And mylar is even better then that.

you can go to your local lowes store and pick up a roll of reflective material. you dont have to order on line for this.

About the lgihts on the roots. This isnt proved, no one knows, some say its ok, some say its not, i personally think its bad. Naturaly they wouldnt get any light, so that my resaoning.
All you've done here is repeated information already located in this thread :/

Roots hate light, as it's also already been said.

I also wanted to tell you that tin foil does reflect light, just not as efficiently. (where did you hear tin foil absorbs more light than it reflects?) It's possible to create hot spots and burn your plant.

No offense lip, but it seems that you always want the last word and sometimes you talk to people bit arrogantly and don't always give reasoning behind what you're saying.

    no offense :stoned:

    Just my 2 cents...

I'd take off the reflectors/hoods from the CFL's and get the lights to within an inch of the plants. Eh, after repotting them into their own pots. What doesn't unscrew, I'd cut off (after unplugging, of course).

Foil is good to use on things like black electrical cords and unevenly shaped pots. I use it to wrap books to use as booster seats to raise the plants. I wrapped the clothes rod in my grow room and used it to hang CFL's.

Sometimes the best reflective material isn't the easiest to use.

I do have a dissenting opinion about misting, though...I sometimes mist three times a day, right up until the buds begin clumping, since I don't want to create mold. I do this even with CFL's almost touching young plants, as well as with flowering plants under HPS and MH. It's an easy way to offset transpiration that's especially bad in hot, dry weather, or when you are growing in winter and use a dry heat for your home. It's instant humidity, though I don't really use it for any 'cooling' factor. Fans do that...in fact, I use a fairly warm water to avoid any shock.

I know that some plants such as the Japanese Cut Leaf Maple can have it's leaves burned off by misting---or getting garden hose water on the leaves when watering outside. The leaves are sensitive to the magnifying quality of the water droplets.

I use a bottle meant for misting and keep the nozzle set on the finest spray.

    But MJ?

I'm a perpetual growing newbie and only know what works for me, but misting is my favorite thing to do to my girls.

great stuff. I have used this also with Hydro systems.. it is very easy to cut into small specific shapes for those of us who like to cover every square inch.

The only problem I see with your "FIRST" grow is the pot being clear..

Sure a lot of things that the others said are very valid... but the clear pot might actually do you IN.. like KILL your plants BRO!

get the lights as close as you can.. and don't worry about having the fan pointed at your plants.. as log as the fan is on and the plants are moving a tad bit.. this will suffice for CFL's

    iloveyou

You should consider a simple transplant into a solid colored pot (no light should get to the soil, except from the top) and then flower your plants when you have 3-4 nodes.. this will also remedy the roots tangling/fighting isuue that will arrise whe the plants get BIG..

You will have a nice little harvest and you will learn a shit load about the plants..

If you let them get big.. 5,6,7,10 nodes..
    Well... don't do that

with your plants that small now it will be the best time to remove them from your soil box and place them in their own pots. dig your hand deep under the plants to remove them
