I need your help fast!
Okay, so yesterday my friend tells me that his uncle found a wild pot plant growing in his backyard. I am already growing, although mine are still only a week old, but my friend tells me this one is huge. He brings it over, since he needs a place to keep it, and I transplant it into 80% soil, 20% perlite. Anyway, when he brings it over, I can tell that the stem has stretched considerably. From the first set of leaves to the second set with 3 leaflets, there is at least a 7" difference. When I woke up this morning, to check on the plants, the top of the plant with the leaves were drooping over. I thought it was because of how much the stem had stretched, so I lean it against a bamboo skewer and put a fan in there, but about 10 minutes after I do that, my friend comes over and flips out, sayig it's dead. The leaves are still green, but he thinks that it's drooping because it's dying. I can post pictures later tonight, but by judging by what I told you, am I doing everything correctly by putting a fan in there to stregnthin the stem, and by leaning it against a bamboo skewer? We both really want this plant to survive. Oh, and yes it is pot, it just grew wild because my friends uncle always throws his pot seeds into the back yard. I can tell this plant is sativa dominant, as the leaves are thin and brighter green, than my dark green fat leave indicas that I have growing.

it is drooping from transplant shock, most likely ... give it a good watering (plain water) ... do NOT give it any nutrients for at least a week, after it shows recovery ... if its the uncle's seed, it may be worth saving ... I dont know where you are, but we had millions of them growing in Illinois, usually near railroad tracks ... during WWII, the rope factories switched from sisal to hemp (MUCH better rope), and smoking a ton of it would only scorch your lungs, no high ... when I was 17, I had a trunkload of it, the judge asked "son, you want to go to prison, or VietNam ?" ... hell, I was too handsome to wind up in prison

The leaves aren't drooping, it's the actual flimsy stem.
I tied it with a twist tie to the bamboo skewer.

Hmmm, pics would deff help, but if its cos the stem is SO bad, kill it, cos you'll not have close enough internodes to get much bud. And because its so high, i reckon itll be male anyways.

Here are some pictures. The picture that shows the soil with my plant and a small seedling is just to give you an idea of how much it stretched from the first set of leaves. The closet picture is just showing you what my grow room looks like. The bright light on the ceiling is a 75 watt flouro, and the other light is just a little lamp with a 30 watt aquarium light in there, just for the seedling, but right now, I have it shining on my big plant. I am also showing the plant being flimsy from what I presume is from stretching, and also I am showing it tied to the skewer, to make sure I tied it right. Please help and give me suggestions or help diagnose the problem. Thanks!
Peace,

The pictures are above this post, but I just wanted to say, when my friend brough ti over last night, it was in natural soil, growing with his grandmothers strawberry plants. I transplanted it immediately (the stem was droopy when it got here) into 80% shultz soil and 20% shultz perlite. I really hope it survives and that it's not a male. In the next week or so, if it seemes to be doing fine, I'm going to transplant it into a 1 gallon pot, and let my seedlings stay in the current pot. Also, when I transplant it, should I give it a nutrient or something? This is my first grow, so I don't know what kind of nutrients I should give it. What should I buy when I go to walmart next week?

thats ugly throw it away......way too much stretching!!
For your little seedling your best bet is to take that light off the ceiling and make a stand for it to be right above the pot
what kind of build is in that lamp?? watts?

Well, I went out to dinner with my mom and then shopping for about 5 hours or so, and when I got back, the stem wasn't as flimsy, but the leaves were very droopy, they were all hanging towards the ground. I watered the whole pot, and the soil absorbed 3 glasses of water very fast, and not much drained. The soil still felt moist before I watered it, but there was alot of perlite in it, so maybe that's why. Should I add another glass of water to it, or wait and see? Hopefully by me watering it, the leaves will perk back up. Does anyone want to see more pictures?
