peat pellets
If you have planted the seeds in the peat moss pelets then YES they need light. The seeds should be covered by this point with the peat moss so the tap root would be fine. Seedlings need to stretch for the light to grow.
Zandor Reviewed by Zandor on . peat pellets alright....i've got four seeds in expanded peat pellets that have been in a cupboard overnight, do they stay in darkness or go to light.....?? All the germ info i've goten was keep them in paper towels in the dark....does this count if you just put them in wet dirt? Rating: 5
