    Favourite Hydro-Nutrients?

Hey guys - I'm just starting out
and before I go further I wanted to make sure I got the right nutrients and supplements
I was first interested in Canna - but the store I use doesn't sell it - any other suggestions?

    flower and bloom -
good no frills ph adjusters -
    any other adviceable supplements

I'm going to use ebb and flow (thinking about drip but I think I will f*ck that up)
also Id prefer non-organic (what's the point when I already don't use soil)

    cheers

Really I prefer drip over ebb and flow because they can be hard to keep clean and to get your water times right. My drip is 24/7, small recirculating type. Made my mind up reading alot here. I use 3 part GH nutes but I'm running the Lucas formula, you only need micro, bloom and not grow at least for flowering. You need it for veg. Cal-mag puls, B-52 or Liquid Karma. I tried budblood and big bud seem to help. I use vita gro PH up and down gallon size unless you can get it easy. PH is a twice a day thing. There are an ass load of add ons, carbo load and a bunch more. Watch out some organics don't mix with non-organic or vise-verse. Many more ? to be ask. ASK away.

pk 13-14 will boost you yield big time, it's used exactly 3 weeks to the day after you switch to 12/12.

locnar...bud blood and big bud are nice.

I use all the same ingredients that locnar mentioned...
the pk 13/14 would be a great additive in bloom.

start with the gh 3-part...I would buy 1 liter of each, unless you know you will grow for a year, then I would buy:
    1 liter grow
    1 gallon micro
    1 gallon bloom.
you use very little grow comparitively...even using the 1-1-1 formula(another story) I think you should use some grow during veg...personally, I think you will yield a little more.
lucas formula works real well...there is more emphasis by the plant budding on smaller stalks. Using the lucas formula 0-5-10veg
0-8-16bloom with 3-part, grows more of a shrub...than a tree. This is a good thing...lower height, nice buddage.

read the growfaqs...read the nutrient portal thread I posted there

For medium, I like clay pellets. Rock wool holds too much water and I've had mold/rot issues.

For nutrients, it doesn't matter a whole lot on brand as long as they get the right chemicals. Pick one and see if it works. I use fox farm grow big and a couple drops of superthrive for veg and fox farm big bloom only for flower.

yup, get the hydroton expanded clay like opie says...
use 3.75" netpots...you can buy a 3.5" holesaw and they fit perfect.
