Redistributing Auxins ??

Hey again guys. Im in the process of LST. Im bending plants to grow sideways, but I wanted to know if Auxins only redistribute when top of plant is at a negitave pitch. I read someplace that u should bend the main growth tip downward. others seem to just have it grow sideways.

Which is better?

While auxins are well understood, its method of distribution throughout the plant is not.

If you can create a negative pitch you should in an LST. You can double the tops produced when flowering and the time it takes is worth the end result.

One more thing... How long does one need to keep the main growth tip neg. pitched?

alright bob when my main cola is neg pitched i leave it for 7 to 10 days some leave it longer and some leave it for less but in my opinion 7 to 10 days is enough .hope this helps.the postman

What exactly is negative pitch? For those of us who are tone def? lol

yes, thx, it does help! I thought the plant was tied the whole veg cycle.

But ur saying. Tie it, let em grow where u want em, then untie em. gotcha.

ok. ok. Last question :P
Its the main cola STEM that needs to be neg pitched? or the actually TOp top leaves that need to be pointing down?

Cause ill LST. then next day the main top, not stem will bend slightly back up to reach the light. Im thinking this is ok. But not sure if i should tie it more to the top so the actually leafy top tips will be neg pitched.

Im gonna try and post some more pics of my LST tonight in my grow log.

the pitch depicted here is about 45degree pitch positive and other neg.

I would not negative pitch the main kola.

It is the secondaries that should be adjusted as such.
