Umm an AVI file around the size of a VCD. Why don't you just put a blank cd in and burn the avi on to that? That's all a VCD is, and it works in almost all players.

No, right now you can get them for about a buck a disc, but that's still infinitely more expensive than my 75 single layer dvds for free after rebate! Just stick with single layers for now. It's faster to burn two full single layers than to burn one dual and it's cheaper. It's good that you got a dual layer because when Blue Ray and HD DVD get put in more pcs the prices of DL will go down.
I got my 75 on black friday but they're still relatively cheap without rebates.

nothin wrong with regular dvds (4.7gb), just get dvdshrink. it shrinks the size of the iso file and you can remove unnecessary stuff like foreign subtitles, blah blahya they are like 10 bucks a DVD but it fits like 8 gigs i think, well ill be set when the price drops down, unless it turns out to be some lame fad....
well tmpgenc 2.5 is pretty good but dont run no programs at the same time cuz it will slow it down.well yeah but most avi film s are around the 600-700mb mark so whats the fasted convertor to do that? like i say mine does in about 25 minutes roughthly aint there no faster way?
vso divxtodvd is pretty quick though but i think you're straight if you got a program that only takes 25 mins to convert a 600-700mb cuz the vso takes about an hour or less and i think the same for the tmpgenc.
