Topping and Pruning??
Here is what you do...NOTHING!!! Let it grow. you only need to top if you have height restriction's. you don't yield more, the plant just stays shorter and bushier...
Most likely you will yield more if you let it grow up, because you get better light penetration to the less bushy plant.
goodluck...don't ever prune either unless you are cleaning up around the bottom of plant so that it may breath better.
Never prune during flower! you will only shock the plant and retard growth. It will not make the buds bigger.
If you want bigger buds...Buy a 1000w

Well its planted near my friends house and he has neighbors...so i do need to keep it short as possible so it can easily blend in with the other vegetation. When would i need to top it then..p.s. it is aprx 5 weeks old

Topping and Pruning??
top it when it reachs 12-18" and has at least 5-6 alternating nodes...then it will grow out, not up.
