Equal? If it were equal, we'd have visited it by now. We've hardly got our Voyager crafts out of the fucking solar system yet -- and that was a project from what, the '70s? Those are, by the way, the farthest man made objects from Earth currently.

The one problem with humanity is we can't form a solid union of all our combined nations.

Step back and imagine how powerful the homo sapien species would be if we truly set our differences aside -- race, creed, etc. -- and set out on global changes; the scientific, medical, technological advancements as well many others. Not to mention a generally better world as a result. Religion seems to be a major factor in why most cultures don't see eye to eye, but it's no reason that can't be set aside for what everyone is dying to find; peace.

But no.

There are still those inclined to hate, to be prejudice -- to have negative emotion. All it begets are negative activities -- attacks on those of different ethnicities among American peoples, spawned from racial tension brought about by ignorance. Even damn near halfway around the world in Russia there's attacks on those not indigenous to there -- attacks based purely on racial tension. Am I to assume it's generally no different anywhere else? Can't put a Jew, Muslim, and Nazi in the same room with a gun and not expect to hear a shot fired. It seems that people's lack of acceptance beyond their ideals they believe to be set in stone is a major inhibitor of our society's advancements.

That's how we'd get places, and that'd truly prepare us for what lies outside our planet.
