They offer fabrication if they do not stock what you are after. I am not sure if you are in the U.K or where though.

I do not know what others use, I am sure someone can be of more help than I can. This is one thing I have yet to research.

If you type cool tubes in that search thinger, you can find all you needed to know and then some about cool tubes. They are called Bake-A-Round by Pyrex on eBay for starters.

P.S. Sorry for double post admin, I decided to look up after I posted the first time, as I had an interest also.

plexiglass seems to me to be a fire hazard (especially when around an hid) I don't think I could sleep at night, heck the space heater I need to use makes me uneasy. Now Dow pyrex yes, wont melt, won't burn, harder to work with, but epoxy and a needle file is all that's needed to mount a fan on it.

its called a hurricane. (look for them in the candle section at walmart if you have one in your area) i got mine for $7.
