what I wanna know is why so many people stay in the lounge?? it sucks... it's the same crap everyday... why do people get pissed that things get moved down here? They should be pissed at the 100 people who care about America Idol and how much aa gram looks like, rather than the 10 people in politics who actually want a civil discusson.

why not complain to all the ignorant people in the lounge who won't take 2 seconds to scroll down and read things in the political forum because it's not as important or entertaining as the shit in the lounge?

Gumby...I go to the lounge and I also watch AI some..anyway...I get overwhelmed in politics..and sometimes like reading nothing about nothing..just to relax. I think the Politics Forum on here is the best Forum even though I don't post much in it I do read the posts and it is educational..I like most of you guys debates..I'm learning

oh I agree with you... i just hate how it's always 100 people looking in the lounge to the 10 in the Politics... not that one is better than the other or that more people should come here. What I don't understand is when people get angry at the ones who want to talk politics, in the politics section. I know more people read in the lounge and a post is probably read more up there, but why don't people get mad at the 100 people who don't care enough about the politics to read through these posts. Shelby, you've been good at coming down here and reading things and posting... but look through the threads, it's only a few people each time writing things.

I guess I'm just upset that more people find the crap that is being talked abuot in the lounge more interesting than the things that effect thier lives. It's by an almost 10x majority as well. I'm mad at the people who know this is important and want to talk about/spread the word about it... but are to lazy to post it down here and to follow up down here. A lot of people don't go to both and it's sad. Really sad that they choose to talk about shit rather than educational/historical things.... just translates america in a nutshell, which is why I am most upset.

People see it as a problem that there are more people in the lounge so they should post the most important things in there, when I see it as a problem that the majority of people see the lounge as the most important forum and don't worry about what's in it.

There is alot of b.s. in the lounge, and in politics, and sexuality, and recreational, etc..........it's like mining for gold; swish it around in your pan and hopefully you find quality information when your done. Hell, I've posted in the American Idol thread, one of my quarks I guess. GO TAYLOR...LOL!

My only thing is that now being in this position I have to try to move items into the correct areas. It would be real nice to log in, check it out, and enjoy just reading for once.

it's like havinga beauty contest and finding the ugliest people in the world... once, just once could ONE of the fucking people on that show know how to play something, or understand what a key is...

it honestly has to be one of the worst shows on tv and it sickens me people can actually like that shit... I guess Backstreet and Nysnc and Spears did the same thing though... it's just sad that people like that are your IDOL...

I cannot sing, I play guitar with minimal success... But I do not go on national television claiming I can... They are not the top 10 nor 20 either... anyone and everyone with talent stays away from that because it's not a show to find out who is the best in the world..

It's a show created by Simon to make him money... anyone with any amount of talent would understand that you are siging away your artistic creativity if you go on that show... they control you and make you into what they want so they can sell you as best they can...

I even fell bad talking about this show for this long, but it has only helped the record labels kill music as we once knew it... it's a shame that it is popular and more people know who is on American Idol than who the Beatles were. I mean most of the people who watch that show think they are singing their songs and that this shit is new.... it's a glorified karaoke.

Not everyone watches American Idol. I certainly don't. I strongly oppose the principle of creating pop stars like that - music should be about the music, and who created the music, not their clothes or their hip dance moves. The fact that nine times out of ten someone else produces their music (a pop/rap/r&b song wouldn't be much if it weren't for the production) irks me since a lot of these mainstream millionaires are just singing their trite, dumb, overrated, superficial balads over what really makes it music (if you can call it that) - the production. Every time I'm switching channels and there's some video on, it's likely to be some 22 year old female singing the same old bland, unoriginal lyrics (And sometimes, in a burst of UBERTALENT, they might even be playing their own guitar - a bland, unoriginal four chord progression, recycled from hundreds of thousands of lame tunes over the last few years)..
