I don't think I'm against America. How can you be against the land between Canada and Mexico? Or the 300 million strangers who happen to live on that land? I'm not just opposed to Bush and the current administration, by the way; I advocate the elimination of all forms of government and capitalism.

different ways to look at it:
. i can see the "holding nazi" flags similarity
.. time, they are a changing
some Americans do need to wake up though,
cause it will get worse
if they act like they did

Revolutions only bring judgments, new problems, and more revolutionaries. Philosophy inevitably leads to a wall. Even legalization would bring new problems.
And questioning everything only leads to confusion. I've been there. The real problem, deeper than any of this superficial political shit, is that we're only human. We're limited because we're human. We are simply not capable of creating this utopia that we all dream of.
America was allegedly created as some form of religious utopia. Guess what? It didn't work. We're still bitching about authority. We're hopeless idealists, and it's part of our nature. We can't escape our instincts and our intellectual limits. The best thing you can hope to do is lay back and enjoy doing what you like to do, and live it up.

If you ask me, the real tragedy is that people give up the idea that the world can be made better. Even if we can't make a utopia, we have to try to get as close as we can.

That's my point. In my opinion, this is as good as it gets.

No, Oneironaut. You're not against things and people in America but I think you fit into the group that complains when your guy ain't in power and smiles when he is.
The thing is there are 2 truths, (Dem and Rep) totally opposite and totally correct. We need to move beyond the talking heads. They have put us in a constant state of arguing and debating instead of finding mutual understanding.
Thanks for your feedback. I will consider it and respond later.
Have a great fakking day and if I could share my doob with you, I would.

But like I said, there is some positivity.
When we can overcome and truly understand our sad limits, we can embrace the fact that our next biggest problem is our hopeless idealism. Nobody outlawed living. We are capable of being happy in this world. Everyone's just stuck on the minor details.
Why? We're only human.

Good luck with your false hopes, everyone!
A man without any expectations can never be disappointed.
