I've got the same problem. I've been to psychiatrists/shrinks/whatnot and done CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy), tried antidepressants, tried just about everything.

As that link shows, it is called idiopathic cranio-facial erythema, and the only way to truly eliminate the blushing (as far as I am aware) is through surgery.

The surgery is called ETS (endoscopic transthoracic sympathectomy)-- basically they stick a tube (with a little camera on the end of it) in your armpit and cut your T2 ganglia, a part of the sympathetic nervous system. Pretty hardcore but a lot of people have come to that as a solution.

People who suffer from blushing often suffer from hyperhidrosis as well. This is excessive sweating of the hands, face, feet, armpits, or any other part of the body. ETS also cures hyperhidrosis.

If you're like me, you just have to bear with it. Trust me, it's even worse being a boy and blushing than being a girl and blushing. Hope my post shed some light on facial blushing for you.
alonepsycho Reviewed by alonepsycho on . Blushing - Help! So I've only started getting this problem in the last year or so and its really embarrassing. I cant stop blushing - it just happened there when I had to ask my manager for a day off, I could feel my face going bright red and she was looking at me like 'wtf?' It happens when the new sales director guy talks to me, it happens when I'm having arguments, it happens at interviews, it happens all the time and I dont know how to stop it! Anyone else have this problem or know how I could overcome Rating: 5
